Bushmills Black Bush is a rich and full-flavoured Irish whiskey, renowned for its complexity and smoothness. It is a blend of matured malt whiskey and a small amount of grain whiskey, aged in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon barrels. The result is a velvety, slightly sweeter whiskey with a deeper complexity than the regular Bushmills Original. Bottled at 40% ABV, it is well-suited for sipping neat, on the rocks, or enjoying in classic whiskey cocktails.
Nose: Rich aromas of dark fruit, dried raisin, honey, and sherry, with hints of oak and caramel.
Palate: Full-bodied and smooth, featuring rich toffee, dried fruit, malt, and a hint of dark chocolate, balanced by spices and subtle sherry influence.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of oak, honey, and dried fruit, accompanied by a light spicy warmth.
Bushmills Black Bush’s rich, sherried sweetness and depth make it an excellent match for a medium-bodied cigar with wood, nutty, and slightly sweet notes.
Romeo y Julieta 1875 – A mild-to-medium cigar with cedar, toast, and subtle spice, enhancing the whiskey’s dark fruit and sherry sweetness.
Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva – A well-balanced Dominican cigar with coffee, cedar, and mild spice, complementing the whiskey’s malt and toffee richness.
Oliva Serie G – A medium-bodied cigar with earthy, nutty, and woody notes, which balances the whiskey’s richness and oak.
